The EU genuflects before criminals against humanity

By Alejo Vidal-Quadras Aug. 15 — Vozpoluli

More than one of them will have their time of disgrace when the unspeakable springs of so much benevolence come to light in the face of the confused slaughterers.

In a surprising and shameful decision, the High Representative for the EU CFSP, Josep Borrell , sent the Deputy Secretary of the Foreign Action Service, Enrique Mora , as his representative in the inauguration ceremony of the new president of the Islamic Republic of Iran , Ebrahim Raisi , which took place in Tehran on August 5. There he enjoyed the dubious honor of participating in such a sinister ceremony alongside delegates from such reputable democracies as Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, North Korea and Belarus . Just embarrassing. Raisi has been identified as a criminal against humanity by organizations such as Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch and both the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran have raised the convenience of launching an independent investigation into the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988 ordered by Ayatollah Khomeini and in the that Raisi was an active participant as a member of Tehran’s “Death Commission” which was then in charge of the mass killings in the capital.

Raisi’s career has been meteoric for his remarkable cruelty and lack of scruples in staining his hands with innocent blood. He began as a base prosecutor until he was appointed chief prosecutor of Tehran in 1989, where he deservedly earned the nickname of ” The Butcher of Tehran.“because of his ease in sending thousands of his compatriots, minor criminals, homosexuals, faithful of religious or ethnic minorities or political dissidents to the gallows, regardless of age, sex or physical condition, thus equating himself in contempt to the worst executioners of the Stalinist Russia, Nazi Germany or Pol Pot’s Cambodia. In 2019 he was promoted to head of the Iranian judicial system, signing 251 death sentences that year, 267 in 2020 and maintaining the same pace in the present until his designation as First president of his country by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei through rigged elections that registered a 10% turnout and in which many candidates were vetoed to facilitate the desired result. That is the repulsive character before whom Josep Borrell has dragged the dignity of hundreds of millions of Europeans without giving a damn about the values that are supposed to inspire the great integration project of our continent.

This intelligence agent disguised as an embassy secretary in Vienna was arrested in Germany carrying a bomb in his car that his accomplices, a Belgian-Iranian couple, had to introduce in an opposition meeting

Furthermore, the inaugural ceremony of the Raisi presidency came a week after the attack by an Iranian drone on the Mercer Street oil tanker in which two fatalities were registered, a British citizen and a Romanian citizen. Also, last February a Belgian court sentenced Iranian diplomat Assadolah Assadi to twenty years in prison for attempted terrorist attack. This intelligence agent disguised as an embassy secretary and stationed in Vienna was arrested in Germany carrying in his car a bomb that his accomplices, a Belgian-Iranian couple, had to introduce in the mass meeting that the democratic opposition to the theocracy organized in Villepinte ( France) in June 2018 and that it would have killed the president of the CNRI, Maryam Rajavi , along with dozens of deputies, former deputies, former ministers, former prime ministers, mayors and European councilors, as well as former congressmen, retired generals and other former North American public officials.

All this was added to the expulsion from Albania of the ambassador and the first secretary of the Iranian embassy in Tirana on suspicion of preparing an attack against Camp Ashraf

Once the sentence was handed down, in which the evidence provided by the prosecution made it clear that the inspiration for such a savage attack came from the main authorities of the Islamic Republic, the SEAE, led by Josep Borrell, refused to make absurd statements pretext that they did not comment on judicial decisions, as if the matter did not have an eminently political character and did not constitute a very serious attack by a foreign power on European soil. You can not exhibit greater cowardice and abandonment of functions by a community body. All this was added to the expulsion from Albania of the ambassador and the first secretary of the Iranian embassy in Tirana on suspicion of preparing an attack against Camp Ashraf, a reception center in that Balkan state for two thousand long members of the democratic resistance against the religious tyranny that has oppressed Iran for four unfortunate decades. Nor should we forget the Iranian intervention in the conflicts that destroy Syria, Iraq and Yemen or its financing and supply of weapons to terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah or Hamas .

Save the nuclear deal

The pathetic efforts of the EEAS and the coordinator of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action , who is none other than Josep Borrell, to save the nuclear agreement with Iran, submitting to the blackmail of a totalitarian regime , are another example of the resounding failure of a pacification strategy and negotiation that, far from offering an example of intelligent soft power, is a paradigm of faint-heartedness, lack of realism and stupid stupidity from which one of the worst threats to global peace and stability largely benefits and from whose dire consequences its promoters they will have to respond one day to the appropriate instances. When certain actions lack a rational explanation and are irrevocably denied by the facts, it is that they obey hidden motivations of a not exactly commendable nature and intention . Now, as everything sooner or later ends up being known, more than one person will have their time of disgrace at the moment in which the unspeakable springs of such benevolence come to light in the face of the troubled killers who combine terrorism abroad with the ruthless oppression of their fellow citizens.
