July 11, 2021 —Dear Mrs. Rajavi, distinguished guests, This year, the annual Global Free Iran summit is being held at a remarkably different circumstances than past years particularly because a mass murderer is about to take office as Head of State in Iran. The International Committee In Search of Justice (ISJ) has backed this summit for years for which we are proud of.
I would like to express the ISJ’s gratitude to all the distinguished speakers from across the world for their valuable support for the Iranian people and their Resistance movement on day 1 and day 2 of the event and I am sure there will be more of them tomorrow.
I do not intend to repeat what already our guest speakers have said. As ISJ President, I would like to share with you our conclusion from this unique and eloquent event and that is the following:
There remains no excuse for tolerating and appeasing the evil regime of Iran anymore. Determination of the NCRI and its leader for a free Iran, as we’ve all heard from Mrs. Rajavi’s speech in this event, leaves no doubt that Iranian people are resolute to change this regime. Also, we have heard clear messages from inside Iran by those who are risking their lives to reach out to express their desire for a regime change.
All the valuable contributions made in this unique 3Day Summit indicate a strong international support for the Iranian people’s will for such change.
So, I am addressing the European leaders and the regime’s appeasers: Let us face the reality. Despite all your appeasement, the regime has not given nor will it give you a scintilla of concessions. By appeasing the Mullahs, you will only be distancing yourself from the Iranian people who want to get rid of the mullahs and also you are discrediting Europe in the minds of millions of Iranians who see the appeasement policy with a mocking look. If our governments do not turn their back on the Mullahs to face the Iranian people, they will be the absolute losers and will trample upon the European values for which millions of people lost their lives in the Twentieth century.
In the end, let me inform you that the ISJ has a pledge, more than ever before, to achieve a change of the EU policy on Iran and in this regard we will welcome all the dignitaries participating in this summit to join and help.
